If you are out of class for sports, absence, strings, band, etc., you need to check the blog to see what you missed. I will post videos that you missed on the blog and you are responsible for any work you need to make up. This seminar is more demanding that the debate seminar so you will need to keep up with all the work.

I am hoping to learn more about how to work better with technology. I already like to use technology to make projects (calendars, videos, Google sites) and I think it would be nice to learn to make them better. I hope we can talk about ways we can use technology to improve life. I want to have discussions about the uses of technology in everyday life. I think it will be interesting to discuss, and I think this course will be a good place to do it.
I am looking for using podcasts, movies, and music from this technology class. I love making movies and watching movies. That is what I do most frequent on the computer. I also want to learn more about podcasts and do some. We did podcasts last year and they were a blast. I also love listening to music and learning some more about technology. I can't wait for another day of this class
I am expecting to learn how to make a website in this class. I would also like to learn how to read HTML codes. I would like to be able to read this because if a computer message or error pops up, I would like to know how to understand it. I would also like to know how to make a website because then, it is easier to post things. Finally, I would like to learn shortcuts on a Mac so it is easier to get stuff done faster.
I am looking for good information about h.t.m.l. code. I know for a fact that in order for you to really know web, you need to know h.t.m.l. . I also want to know how to really use the computer to your advantage, because i really just go onto wiki, Google, and Bing to play games and research. I also want for more time online, since i can only go on for about thirty minutes a day, and it stinks to not be able to finish homework at home, and having to do it in academic.

I am looking for learning how to maximize my knowledge with different kinds of technology. I am hoping to learn how to make a real website. Also I want to learn bit by bit about how websites are made etc. Another thing I want to learn is how technology helps others. Finally, I am interested in learning the history of technology and when certain things were invented. I am looking forward to participating in music-like activities online. Finally I am interested in discussing the evolution of technology. That is what i am looking forward to learning and discussing in gifted technology class this year.
For this technology class, I am hoping to learn more and making our own websites. It seems like it'll be really fun because we would be able to design the website in our own creative way. I already have done movies, podcasts, animations, and applications (like word, excel, powerpoint, notebook, iMovie, garage band) and especially like making movies because we can make what we want to do and it is very exciting that way. Podcasts are also fun to do because I can put the ones I created on my iPod. Lastly, I hope we can do projects in groups and work together. I think working independently will make you feel lonely.
I am looking to learn the tricks in technology. I also would like to experiment with different programs. I would like to discuss protection and
hacking and why people can do it. If I had to pick something to participate in, it would probably have to do with movies. I'm excited to do this and other things in this course.
One thins that I am hoping to learn about in gifted Tech are blogs. I have used sites like Facebook, Wikispace and Moodle but i haven't realy ever blogged before. This would be a good skill for me to aqquire because then if i ever need to blog for any reason, i know how to. Another thing I would like to know is more techniques for editing movies in iMovie. i know some things from taken regular TechEd, but there is always something new a person can learn. On eother thing that I think would be cool to learn how to do is create a website. I think this would be fun because I have never created a website before. Later in life, If i ever need to make a website, i will know how to make a creative and appealing website.

I would like to learn how to use other programs that I don't know how to use. For example, I do not know how to use garageband and I would like to learn how to.
I am looking for fun, information, knowledge, and a great time from this technology class. My experience with technology is very good. I have been around it all my life and I have a lot at home. Technology is so important to me because I believe I'm good with it. I would like to learn computer tricks and how to make an HTML code.
I am hoping to learn how to make my own website. Sometimes when I do research on the Internet, I see websites that other people have made about the topic I am researching. It amazes me how some random person can make their own website and it can be on Google for the whole world to see. Will we put our websites on Google? I also want to make a movie because they are so much fun to make. It is funny to watch myself acting out a script that I write. Overall, I am very excited to be in this technology program and I can't wait to get started.
Whoops, I posted before I was done..... I would also like to learn how to access programs that are not already on my computer(s) at home. I would also like to learn how to find shortcuts on other programs. This is what I would like to learn from the technology seminar.
I'm looking for good information on websites, like how to find good websites (I'm tired of looking through thousands of sites, and then not even find what I was looking for). I also want to learn more about 'computer language' because sometimes when you open up a file it gives an extremely long gibberish code only understood by computers, and you need a certain computer program to run it I'd like at least a reference of 'what in the world is going on right now?' so I can see if I can use it on another computer. I'm proficient with computers, but I could be better. I think I'll like this better then the other Gifted Technology, because we did one tedious project instead of multiple fun projects. So I look forward to using fun programs and doing less tiresome repetitive projects.
I hope to learn web browsing skills from this class. I also want to learn html code. I would like to really build my own website. Last time I tried it I just typed some stuff on a badly laid out page. I have visited the site twice since then. That was 2 years ago.I would love to learn how to better use powerpoint. That is what I hope to learn from this class.
I am hoping to learn in depth about music creation on computers and podcasts. I would also want to learn more about the creation of websites and what identifies them from other websites. I hope to learn about creation of movies and learn how to use programs that could help me later in life such as excel. That is what I am hoping to learn from Gifted Technology.
I've read all your messages and it sounds like you are all eager to learn. Sorry I missed the first day for some of you but I had a doctor's appointment for this pesky knee surgery I am having.
Anyway, it seems like many of you like making movies or want to learn more about movies and you will have the chance after the first of the year. For the beginning of the course we will be talking about technology and how it affects our life and our learning. Then we will learn HTML code and design our own web pages. I hope you will all have a great time doing that.
One word of caution . . .This course will be much more rigorous than debate. Check the blog often and hand in do-nows that show some thought.
I want to learn more about the most recent technology. I also like technology very much, and know about it. There are many thing on the internet i want to learn about. For example i want to learn more about voice thread, and i also want to learn more about garage band. i am looking forward to learning and i think that i will learn a lot in this marking period.

I am here because I have always wanted not only to learn HTML but I also want a basic knowledge of programming. I have wanted to have a basic knowledge of programming so I can have a little fun with some of my computer games :). I have already tried programming before, but I couldn't get a black dot in the center of a blank space. That was a few years ago, and I'm ready to try again! I am looking to learn how to design/make websites and read HTML codes. One thing that I am interested to do is blog, because even though I know how to, I never really did it very much before. I took this class, because my dad has some jobs that have to do with technology. The jobs are very interesting, so I want to learn how to do what he does. Any class that has something to do with technology, I take it to learn to be like my dad. This year, it was between Tech Ed and this. In this class this year, I would like to learn about how to make a great website. I have made some unsatisfactory websites so far, and would like to know how to make an incredible one. I would love to be able to learn about the very technological computer things because it will make the stuff I normally do much more simple. I am great with iMovie and other applications, but I hope that this class shows me how to do them much better. I am looking to learn how to use technology, and not get angry with it. I am already pretty good with it, but every once in a while i feel like punching the computer because I'm confused. I also want to get better at surfing websites, and finding what I need.
From this course, I expect to learn generally about technology, hence the name. In the past, I have independently learned about how to use most of the computer programs on macs and PC's alike, but I am hoping to learn about more specific things. I remember reading in the class "brochure" about the fact that we will be learning how to make our own website (html script or javascript type stuff?) and I am very excited to do that. I want to know more about technology at the end of this course. The technology, not only in computer but knows how to take them apart. I want to know how to block viruses and create them. This quarter I want more written work. I do not like being graded on performance. I want to do a big project as well. This is what I want out of this course.

I am looding for new and improved ways to express myself through technology that I haven't use before. I'm looking to learn how to use new applications, as well as old applications in new ways. I'm hoping to discuss how my peers and other people have use technology that I haven't, so I can better understand it. Also, I want to discuss how easy/difficult some things were for my peers to see if I understood something well, or not so well. I want to participate in discussions outside of our class using technology, like skype and/or video chat. I think I will learn a lot from this course, I can't wait to start!
